Chapter 20 | The Opening Readings When Commencing Salah (prayer)

4ـ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيلَ عَنِ الْفَضْلِ بْنِ شَاذَانَ عَنْ حَمَّادِ بْنِ عِيسَى عَنْ مُعَاوِيَةَ بْنِ عَمَّارٍ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ الله (عَلَيْهِ الْسَّلام) قَالَ إِذَا كُنْتَ إِمَاماً أَجْزَأَتْكَ تَكْبِيرَةٌ وَاحِدَةٌ لأَنَّ مَعَكَ ذَا الْحَاجَةِ وَالضَّعِيفَ وَالْكَبِيرَ.

4. Muhammad ibn ’Isma‘il has narrated from al-Fadl ibn Shadhan from Hammad ibn ‘Isa from Mu‘awiyah ibn ‘Ammar who has said the following: “Abu ‘Abd Allah , has said, ‘If you are leading others in Salah (prayer) one Takbir (Allah is great beyond description) is sufficient; with you there can be people who need to go after their needs, weak people and the old ones.’”
