Chapter 35 | Mistake in Recitation
3. Muhammad ibn Yahya has narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad from ibn Faddal from Yunus ibn Ya‘qub from Mansur ibn Hazim who has said the following: “I once said to abu ‘Abd Allah , ‘I performed the obligatory Salah (prayer) but forgot the recitation in all of my Salah (prayer). He (the Imam) asked, ‘Did you complete Ruku‘ (bowing down on one’s knees) and Sujud (prostrations)?’ I replied, ‘Yes, I did so.’ He (the Imam) said, ‘Your Salah (prayer) is complete if it was because of forgetfulness.’”
