The Sufficient (Vol 3) · Hadith 1654 (#Ḥadīth #3)

3ـ الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ الله بْنِ عَامِرٍ عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ مَهْزِيَارَ عَنْ عُثْمَانَ بْنِ عِيسَى عَنْ أَبِي مَرْيَمَ عَنْ أَبِي جَعْفَرٍ (عَلَيْهِ الْسَّلام) قَالَ سَأَلْتُهُ عَنْ خُطْبَةِ رَسُولِ الله (صلّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِه) أَ قَبْلَ الصَّلاَةِ أَوْ بَعْدُ فَقَالَ قَبْلَ الصَّلاَةِ يَخْطُبُ ثُمَّ يُصَلِّي.

3. Al-Husayn ibn Muhammad has narrated from ‘Abd Allah ibn ‘Amir from Ali ibn Mahziyar from ‘Uthman ibn ‘Isa from abu Maryam who has said the following: “I once asked abu Ja‘far , about the sermon of the Messenger of Allah if it was before or after Salah (prayer). He (the Imam) said, ‘The Messenger of Allah would first deliver sermons, then perform Salah (prayer).”’
