Chapter 71 | Recitations on Friday and Night
3ـ الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ الله بْنِ عَامِرٍ عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ مَهْزِيَارَ عَنْ فَضَالَةَ بْنِ أَيُّوبَ عَنِ الْحُسَيْنِ بْنِ أَبِي حَمْزَةَ قَالَ قُلْتُ لأَبِي عَبْدِ الله (عَلَيْهِ الْسَّلام) بِمَا أَقْرَأُ فِي صَلاَةِ الْفَجْرِ فِي يَوْمِ الْجُمُعَةِ فَقَالَ اقْرَأْ فِي الأولَى بِسُورَةِ الْجُمُعَةِ وَفِي الثَّانِيَةِ بِقُلْ هُوَ الله أَحَدٌ ثُمَّ اقْنُتْ حَتَّى تَكُونَا سَوَاءً.

Al-Husayn ibn Muhammad has narrated from ‘Abd Allah ibn ‘Amir from Ali ibn Mahziyar from Fadalah ibn Ayyub from al-Husayn ibn abu Hamzah who has said the following: “I once asked abu ‘Abd Allah , ‘What can I recite for the morning Salah (prayer) on Friday?’ He (the Imam) said, ‘In the first Rak‘at recite Surah (chapter) al-Jumu‘ah and in the second Rak‘at recite Chapter 112 then read Qunut (supplication after recitation in second Rak‘at) so both become equal.’”
