Chapter 84 | The Optional Salah (prayer)
32ـ الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنْ مُعَلَّى بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنْ أَبَانٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ أَبِي عَبْدِ الله قَالَ قَالَ أَبُو عَبْدِ الله (عَلَيْهِ الْسَّلام) الْقُنُوتُ فِي الْوَتْرِ الاسْتِغْفَارُ وَفِي الْفَرِيضَةِ الدُّعَاءُ.
32. Al-Husayn ibn Muhammad has narrated from al-‘Ala’ ibn Muhammad from Aban from ‘Abd al-Rahman ibn abu ‘Abd Allah who has said the following: “Abu ’Abd Allah , has said, ‘Qunut (supplication after recitation) in al-Witr is asking for forgiveness and in obligatory Salah (prayer) it is to ask for your wishes.’”
