Chapter 2 | Refusal to Pay zakat
18. Abu ‘Abd Allah al-‘Asemiy has narrated from Ali ibn al-Hassan al-Mithamiy from Ali ibn Asbat from his father, Asbat ibn Salim from Salim Mawla Aban who has said the following: “I heard abu ‘Abd Allah , say, ‘A bird does not become victim of hunting unless it forgets Tasbih (glorifying Allah). A property is not lost unless zakat which is due on it is withheld.’”
