The Sufficient (Vol 3) · Hadith 2034 (#Ḥadīth #6)

6ـ عَلِيُّ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي عُمَيْرٍ عَنْ بَعْضِ أَصْحَابِنَا عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ الله (عَلَيْهِ الْسَّلام) فِي الرَّجُلِ يَكُونُ لَهُ إِبِلٌ أَوْ بَقَرٌ أَوْ غَنَمٌ أَوْ مَتَاعٌ فَيَحُولُ عَلَيْهَا الْحَوْلُ فَيَمُوتُ الإِبِلُ وَالْبَقَرُ وَالْغَنَمُ وَيَحْتَرِقُ الْمَتَاعُ قَالَ لَيْسَ عَلَيْهِ شَيْءٌ.

6. Ali ibn Ibrahim has narrated from his father from Ibn Abi ‘Umayr from certain persons of our people who has said the following: “I once asked abu ‘Abd Allah , about a man who has a camel or cow or sheep or other assets. One year passes and the camel, cow or sheep dies and the asset is destroyed because of fire. He (the Imam) said, ‘He does not owe anything.’”
