The Sufficient (Vol 3) · Hadith 2063 (#Ḥadīth #3)

3ـ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنِ الْعَبَّاسِ بْنِ مَعْرُوفٍ عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ مَهْزِيَارَ عَنِ الْحُسَيْنِ بْنِ سَعِيدٍ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ الْفَضْلِ عَنْ مُوسَى بْنِ بَكْرٍ قَالَ سَأَلْتُ أَبَا الْحَسَنِ (عَلَيْهِ الْسَّلام) عَنِ امْرَأَةٍ مُصَابَةٍ وَلَهَا مَالٌ فِي يَدِ أَخِيهَا هَلْ عَلَيْهِ زَكَاةٌ فَقَالَ إِنْ كَانَ أَخُوهَا يَتَّجِرُ بِهِ فَعَلَيْهِ زَكَاةٌ. عِدَّةٌ مِنْ أَصْحَابِنَا عَنْ سَهْلِ بْنِ زِيَادٍ عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ أَبِي نَصْرٍ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ سَمَاعَةَ عَنْ مُوسَى بْنِ بَكْرٍ عَنْ عَبْدٍ صَالِحٍ (عَلَيْهِ الْسَّلام) مِثْلَهُ.

3. Muhammad ibn Yahya has narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad from Muhammad from al-‘Abbas ibn Ma’ruf from Ali ibn Mahziyar from al-Husayn ibn Sa‘id from Muhammad ibn al-Fudayl from Musa ibn Bakr who has said the following: “I once asked abu al-Hassan , about a woman who is affected mentally and she has an asset which is in the hands of her brother, if there is Zakat on it. He (the Imam) said, ‘If her brother does business with it Zakat is obligatory.’” A number of our people have narrated from Sahl ibn Ziyad from Ahmad ibn Muhammad from ibn abu Nasr from Muhammad ibn Sama‘ah from Musa ibn Bakr from Salih a similar Hadith.”
