The Sufficient (Vol 3) · Hadith 2160 (#Ḥadīth #2)

2ـ عِدَّةٌ مِنْ أَصْحَابِنَا عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ أَبِي عَبْدِ الله عَنْ عَبْدِ الْعَظِيمِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الله الْعَلَوِيِّ عَنِ الْحُسَيْنِ بْنِ عَلِيٍّ عَنْ بَعْضِ أَصْحَابِنَا عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ الله (عَلَيْهِ الْسَّلام) قَالَ تَارِكُ الزَّكَاةِ وَقَدْ وَجَبَتْ لَهُ كَمَانِعِهَا وَقَدْ وَجَبَتْ عَلَيْهِ.

2. A number of our people have narrated from Ahmad ibn abu ‘Abd Allah from ‘Abd al-‘Azim ibn ‘Abd Allah al-‘Alaviy from al- Husayn ibn Ali from certain persons of our people who has said the following: “Abu ‘Abd Allah , has said, ‘One who refuses to receive Zakat, when it is obligatory on him to receive is like one who refuses to pay Zakat when it is obligatory up on him to pay.’”
