Chapter 19 | Hunut (Rubbing Camphor) on a Dead Body and Shrouding

2ـ عَلِيُّ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ عُثْمَانَ عَنْ مُفَضَّلِ بْنِ صَالِحٍ عَنْ زَيْدٍ الشَّحَّامِ قَالَ سُئِلَ أَبُو عَبْدِ الله (عَلَيْهِ الْسَّلام) عَنْ رَسُولِ الله (صلّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِه) بِمَ كُفِّنَ قَالَ فِي ثَلاَثَةِ أَثْوَابٍ ثَوْبَيْنِ صُحَارِيَّيْنِ وَبُرْدٍ حِبَرَةٍ.

2. Ali ibn Ibrahim has narrated from his father from ‘Amr ibn ‘Uthman from Mufaddaf ibn Salih from Zayd af-Shahham who has said the following: “Abu ‘Abd Allah , was asked about the shroud of the Messenger of Allah. He (the Imam) said, ‘There were three pieces of fabric to shroud him. They were two pieces of Suhariyayn fabric and one piece of large sheet made in Hibarah.’”
