Chapter 19 | Hunut (Rubbing Camphor) on a Dead Body and Shrouding

3. A number of our people have narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad from ‘Uthman ibn ‘Isa from Sama‘ah who has said the following: “Abu ‘Abd Allah , has said, ‘When you shroud a deceased, scatter fragrant powder and camphor on every piece of the shroud.’”
