The Sufficient (Vol 3) · Hadith 597 (#Ḥadīth #3)

3ـ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ الْحُسَيْنِ عَنْ صَفْوَانَ عَنِ الْعَلاَءِ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ مُسْلِمٍ قَالَ سَأَلْتُهُ عَنِ الرَّجُلِ يُغَسِّلُ امْرَأَتَهُ قَالَ نَعَمْ مِنْ وَرَاءِ الثَّوْبِ.

3. Muhammad ibn Yahya has narrated from Muhammad ibn al-Husayn from Safwan from al-‘Ala’ from Muhammad ibn Muslim who has said the following: “I once asked him (the Imam) , about a man if he can give Ghusl (bath) to his dead wife from behind a cloth. He (the Imam) said, ‘Yes, he can do so from behind a cloth.’”
