Chapter 41 | It Is Not Desirable to Ride in Funeral Procession
2. Ali has narrated from his father from Hammad ibn ‘Isa from Hariz from ‘Abd al-Rahman ibn ‘Abd Allah who has said the following: “Abu ‘Abd Allah , has said, ‘A man from Ansar (new Muslims of al-Madinah) of the companions of the Messenger of Allah died. The Messenger of Allah came out and joined the funeral procession walking. Someone from his companions said, “Why do you not ride, O Messenger of Allah?” He replied, “I do not like to ride when angels are walking.” He refused to ride.’”
