Chapter 43 | The Reward for Walking in a Funeral Procession
7ـ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عِيسَى عَنِ الْحُسَيْنِ بْنِ سَعِيدٍ عَنِ الْحُسَيْنِ بْنِ عُلْوَانَ عَنْ سَعْدِ بْنِ طَرِيفٍ عَنِ الأصْبَغِ بْنِ نُبَاتَةَ قَالَ قَالَ أَمِيرُ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ (صلّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِه) مَنْ تَبِعَ جَنَازَةً كَتَبَ الله لَهُ أَرْبَعَ قَرَارِيطَ قِيرَاطٌ بِاتِّبَاعِهِ وَقِيرَاطٌ لِلصَّلاَةِ عَلَيْهَا وَقِيرَاطٌ بِالانْتِظَارِ حَتَّى يَفْرُغَ مِنْ دَفْنِهَا وَقِيرَاطٌ لِلتَّعْزِيَةِ.
7. Muhammad ibn Yahya has narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad ibn ‘Isa from al-Husayn ibn Sa‘id from al-Husayn ibn ‘Ulwan from Sa‘d ibn Tarif from al-Asbagh ibn Nubatah who has said the following: “’Amir al-Mu’minin , has said, ‘If one escorts the body of a deceased, his reward is four qirat, one for escorting, one for Salah (prayer) for a deceased, one for waiting until burial is complete and one for offering condolences.’”
