The Sufficient (Vol 3) · Hadith 838 (#Ḥadīth #1)

1ـ عِدَّةٌ مِنْ أَصْحَابِنَا عَنْ سَهْلِ بْنِ زِيَادٍ عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ الْحَكَمِ عَنْ سُلَيْمَانَ بْنِ عَمْرٍو النَّخَعِيِّ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ الله (عَلَيْهِ الْسَّلام) قَالَ مَنْ أُصِيبَ بِمُصِيبَةٍ فَلْيَذْكُرْ مُصَابَهُ بِالنَّبِيِّ (صلّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِه) فَإِنَّهُ مِنْ أَعْظَمِ الْمَصَائِبِ.

1. A number of our people have narrated from Sahl ibn Ziyad from Ali ibn al-Hakam from Sulayman ibn ‘Amr al-Nakha’i that Abu 'Abdillah (al-Sadiq) said: "If one experiences sorrow due to [the death of] someone, he should remember his sorrow of [losing] the Prophet ﷺ for [his death] is the greatest of all sorrows."
