The Sufficient (Vol 3) · Hadith 91 (#Ḥadīth #1)

1ـ عَلِيُّ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ حَمَّادٍ عَنْ حَرِيزٍ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ مُسْلِمٍ قَالَ قُلْتُ لأَبِي جَعْفَرٍ (عَلَيْهِ الْسَّلام) رَجُلٌ بَالَ وَلَمْ يَكُنْ مَعَهُ مَاءٌ فَقَالَ يَعْصِرُ أَصْلَ ذَكَرِهِ إِلَى طَرَفِهِ ثَلاَثَ عَصَرَاتٍ وَيَنْتُرُ طَرَفَهُ فَإِنْ خَرَجَ بَعْدَ ذَلِكَ شَيْءٌ فَلَيْسَ مِنَ الْبَوْلِ وَلَكِنَّهُ مِنَ الْحَبَائِلِ.

1. Ali ibn Ibrahim has narrated from his father, from Hammad, from Hariz, from Muhammad ibn Muslim who has said the following: “I once asked Abu Ja’far , about a man who urinates but does not have water to wash it clean. He (the Imam) said, ’He must drain his urine passageway by pressing (with his fingers), against the bones underneath, beginning from his buttocks and move upward, three times, to where the passageway separates from the bones. Then hold it (the passageway) between his two fingers (the thumb, forefinger) and middle finger, press and pull to the end of his penis three times. Then press its end three times. Thereafter if any moisture comes out it is not urine. Instead such moistures are considered of the moisture associated with the veins (and activities) of sexual organs.”
