5ـ عِدَّةٌ مِنْ أَصْحَابِنَا عَنْ سَهْلِ بْنِ زِيَادٍ عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ الْحَكَمِ عَنْ سَيْفِ بْنِ عَمِيرَةَ عَنِ ابْنِ بُكَيْرٍ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ الله (عَلَيْهِ الْسَّلام) فِي قَوْلِ الله عَزَّ وَجَلَّ وَالَّذِينَ آمَنُوا وَاتَّبَعَتْهُمْ ذُرِّيَّتُهُمْ بِإِيمانٍ أَلْحَقْنا بِهِمْ ذُرِّيَّتَهُمْ قَالَ فَقَالَ قَصَرَتِ الأبْنَاءُ عَنْ عَمَلِ الآبَاءِ فَأَلْحَقُوا الأبْنَاءَ بِالآبَاءِ لِتَقَرَّ بِذَلِكَ أَعْيُنُهُمْ.

5. A number of our people have narrated from Sahl ibn Ziyad from Ali ibn al-Hakam from Sayf ibn ‘Amirah from ibn Bukayr who has said the following: “This is about the words of Allah, the Most Majestic, the Most Glorious, that read.. . . (The bountiful paradise is for the pious ones) and for the believers and their offspring who have followed them (parents) in belief, whom We shall join with their parents therein. . . . (52:21).’ Abu ‘Abd Allah , has said, ‘The children even though may have had shortcomings in their deeds, they will be joined with their parents to grant delightfulness to the eyes of the parents.’”
