Chapter 95 | The Rare Ahadith
3ـ أَبُو عَلِيٍّ الأشْعَرِيُّ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْجَبَّارِ عَنْ أَبِي مُحَمَّدٍ الْهُذَلِيِّ عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ خَالِدٍ الْقَطَّانِ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ مَنْصُورٍ الصَّيْقَلِ عَنْ أَبِيهِ قَالَ شَكَوْتُ إِلَى أَبِي عَبْدِ الله (عَلَيْهِ الْسَّلام) وَجْداً وَجَدْتُهُ عَلَى ابْنٍ لِي هَلَكَ حَتَّى خِفْتُ عَلَى عَقْلِي فَقَالَ إِذَا أَصَابَكَ مِنْ هَذَا شَيْءٌ فَأَفِضْ مِنْ دُمُوعِكَ فَإِنَّهُ يَسْكُنُ عَنْكَ.
3. Abu Ali al-Ash’ariy has narrated from Muhammad ibn ‘Abd Jabbar from abu Muhammad al-Hudhaliy from Ibrahim ibn Khalid al- Qattan from Muhammad ibn Mansur al-Sayqal from his father who has said the following: “I complained before abu ‘Abd Allah , about feeling extremely sad for the death of my son and I feared for my sanity. He said, ‘When something like this happens, allow your tears to flow; it gives you relief.’”
