Chapter 95 | The Rare Ahadith

31. Muhammad has narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad from al-Husayn ibn Sa‘id from al-Husayn ibn ‘Ulwan from ‘Amr ibn Shimr from Jabir who has said the following: "I asked him [abu Ja‘far ], about the moment of the angel of death." The Imam said, "Have you not seen people sitting, then suddenly they are struck with silence? No one of them (in such condition) is able to speak. That is the moment of the angel of death who examines them.’”

Gradings are classical jarḥ-wa-taʿdīl, name-matched to a rijāl index (not individually re-verified).
