Chapter 60 | The Case of a Woman who Performs al-Hajj on Behalf of a Man

2ـ عَلِيُّ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي عُمَيْرٍ عَنْ مُعَاوِيَةَ بْنِ عَمَّارٍ قَالَ قُلْتُ لأَبِي عَبْدِ الله (عَلَيْهِ السَّلاَم) الرَّجُلُ يَحُجُّ عَنِ الْمَرْأَةِ وَالْمَرْأَةُ تَحُجُّ عَنِ الرَّجُلِ قَالَ لا بَأْسَ.

2. Ali ibn Ibrahim has narrated from his father from Ibn Abi ‘Umayr from Mu‘awiyah ibn ‘Ammar who has said the following: “I once asked abu ‘Abd Allah , if women can perform al-Hajj on behalf of men and men can perform al-Hajj on behalf of women. He (the Imam) said, ‘It is not harmful.’”
