Chapter 34 | Understanding Generosity and Munificence

2. A number of our people have narrated from Sahl ibn Ziyad from al-Hassan ibn Mahbub from certain individuals of our people who has said the following: “I asked abu ‘Abd Allah , ‘What is the limit of generosity?’ The Imam replied, ‘It is to pay what Allah has made obligatory on you to pay to properly deserving recipients.’”
