Chapter 15 | Displaying Arms in Makkah

2. Muhammad ibn Yahya has narrated from Muhammad ibn al-Hassan from Safwan from Shu’ayb al-‘Aqarqufiy form abu Basir who has said the following: “I once asked abu ‘Abd Allah , about a man who wants to go to Makkah or al- Madinah and dislikes to carry arms with him. He (the Imam) said, ‘It is not harmful to carry arms when leaving his town but when entering Makkah he must not allow it to come into view.’”

Gradings are classical jarḥ-wa-taʿdīl, name-matched to a rijāl index (not individually re-verified).
