The Sufficient (Vol 4) · Hadith 808 (#Ḥadīth #9)

9ـ عِدَّةٌ مِنْ أَصْحَابِنَا عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنِ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ عَلِيٍّ عَنْ مُثَنًّى الْحَنَّاطِ عَنْ زُرَارَةَ عَنْ أَبِي جَعْفَرٍ (عَلَيْهِ السَّلاَم) قَالَ سَأَلْتُهُ عَنْ رَجُلٍ خَرَجَ بِطَيْرٍ مِنْ مَكَّةَ إِلَى الْكُوفَةِ قَالَ يَرُدُّهُ إِلَى مَكَّةَ.

9. A number of our people have narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad from al-Hassan ibn Ali from Muthanna’ al-Hannat from Zurarah who has said the following: “I once asked abu Ja‘far , about a man who leaves Makkah with a bird for al-Kufah. He (the Imam) said, ‘He must return it to Makkah.’”
