The Sufficient (Vol 5) · Hadith 1242 (#Ḥadīth #1)

1- عِدَّةٌ مِنْ أَصْحَابِنَا عَنْ سَهْلِ بْنِ زِيَادٍ عَنْ جَعْفَرِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ الأشْعَرِيِّ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ مَيْمُونٍ الْقَدَّاحِ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللهِ عَنْ آبَائِهِ (عَلَيْهِم السَّلام) قَالَ قَالَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ مَا اسْتَفَادَ امْرُؤٌ مُسْلِمٌ فَائِدَةً بَعْدَ الإسْلامِ أَفْضَلَ مِنْ زَوْجَةٍ مُسْلِمَةٍ تَسُرُّهُ إِذَا نَظَرَ إِلَيْهَا وَتُطِيعُهُ إِذَا أَمَرَهَا وَتَحْفَظُهُ إِذَا غَابَ عَنْهَا فِي نَفْسِهَا وَمَالِهِ.

1. A number of our people have narrated from Sahl ibn Ziyad from Ja’far ibn Muhammad al-Ash’ariy from ‘Abd Allah ibn Maymun al- Qaddah who has said the following: “Abu ‘Abd Allah , has said that the Holy Prophet, O Allah, grant compensation to Muhammad and his family worthy of their services to Your cause, has said, ‘There is not anything more beneficial to a man after his accepting Islam than a Muslim woman who pleases him when he looks at her, gives when he asks and protects his interests in his absence.’”
