Chapter 29 | Chapter 22 - Rejecting Evil in one’s Heart
2- وَبِهَذَا الإسْنَادِ قَالَ قَالَ أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ إِنَّمَا يُؤْمَرُ بِالْمَعْرُوفِ وَيُنْهَى عَنِ الْمُنْكَرِ مُؤْمِنٌ فَيَتَّعِظُ أَوْ جَاهِلٌ فَيَتَعَلَّمُ وَأَمَّا صَاحِبُ سَوْطٍ أَوْ سَيْفٍ فَلا.
2. It is narrated from the narrator of the previous Hadith who has said the following: “Abu ‘Abd Allah , has said, ‘Only believing people who accept good advice should be asked to do good and prohibit committing evil but not those who have the whip and the sword.’”
