Chapter 39 | Looking at a Woman with Intention to Marry

2- عَنْهُ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي عُمَيْرٍ عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ سَالِمٍ وَحَمَّادِ بْنِ عُثْمَانَ وَحَفْصِ بْنِ الْبَخْتَرِيِّ كُلِّهِمْ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللهِ قَالَ لا بَأْسَ بِأَنْ يَنْظُرَ إِلَى وَجْهِهَا وَمَعَاصِمِهَا إِذَا أَرَادَ أَنْ يَتَزَوَّجَهَا.

It is narrated from the narrator of the previous Hadith from Ibn Abi ‘Umayr from Hisham ibn Salim and Hammad ibn ‘Uthman and Hafs ibn al-Bakhtariy all have said the following: “Abu ‘Abd Allah , has said, ‘It is not unlawful for a man to look at her face and hands to wrists, if he wants to marry her.’”
