Chapter 42 | Serving Food in Marriage Ceremony

2- عَلِيُّ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ أَبِي عُمَيْرٍ عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ سَالِمٍ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللهِ قَالَ إِنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ حِينَ تَزَوَّجَ مَيْمُونَةَ بِنْتَ الْحَارِثِ أَوْلَمَ عَلَيْهَا وَأَطْعَمَ النَّاسَ الْحَيْسَ.

2. Ali ibn Ibrahim has narrated from his father from ibn abu ‘Um ay r from Hisham ibn Salim who has said the following: “Abu ‘Abd Allah , has said that when the Messenger of Allah, O Allah, grant compensation to Muhammad and his family worthy of their services to Your cause, married Maymunah, daughter of al-Harith, he served food to people and it was mashed dates with the stones removed, with ghee.’”
