Chapter 47 | Amount of Mahr today is the Mutually Agreed Amount

2- عَلِيُّ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي عُمَيْرٍ عَنْ جَمِيلِ بْنِ دَرَّاجٍ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللهِ قَالَ الْمَهْرُ مَا تَرَاضَى عَلَيْهِ النَّاسُ أَوِ اثْنَتَا عَشْرَةَ أُوقِيَّةً وَنَشٌّ أَوْ خَمْسُمِائَةِ دِرْهَمٍ.

2. Ali ibn Ibrahim has narrated from his father from ibn abu ‘Um ay r from Jamil ibn Darraj who has said the following: “Abu ‘Abd Allah , has said, ‘Mahr (dower) is what people agree upon or twelve Awqiyah and one Nashsha or five hundred dirham.’”
