Chapter 47 | Amount of Mahr today is the Mutually Agreed Amount
3- عَلِيُّ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي عُمَيْرٍ عَنْ عُمَرَ بْنِ أُذَيْنَةَ عَنْ فُضَيْلِ بْنِ يَسَارٍ عَنْ أَبِي جَعْفَرٍ قَالَ الصَّدَاقُ مَا تَرَاضَيَا عَلَيْهِ مِنْ قَلِيلٍ أَوْ كَثِيرٍ فَهَذَا الصَّدَاقُ.
3. Ali ibn Ibrahim has narrated from his father from Ibn Abi ‘Umayr from ‘Umar ibn ‘Udhaynah from Fudayl ibn Yasar who has said the following: “Abu Ja’far , has said, ‘The amount of mahr (dower) is what people agree upon which can be little or a great deal, that is mahr (dower).”’
