Chapter 97 | Al-Mut‘ah (advantageous marriage) Is Not Permissible With Non-Chaste Women

1. Muhammad ibn Yahya has narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad from ibn Mahbub from Aban from abu Maryam who has said the following: “Once, abu Ja‘far , was asked about al-Mut‘ah (advantageous marriage). He (the Imam) said, ‘Al-Mut‘ah (advantageous marriage) today is not like it was before this day. Women in those days believed in it but today they do not believe in it and you can ask them.”’
