Chapter 97 | Al-Mut‘ah (advantageous marriage) Is Not Permissible With Non-Chaste Women

6- عَلِيُّ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عِيسَى عَنْ يُونُسَ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ الْفُضَيْلِ قَالَ سَأَلْتُ أَبَا الْحَسَنِ عَنِ الْمَرْأَةِ الْحَسْنَاءِ الْفَاجِرَةِ هَلْ يَجُوزُ لِلرَّجُلِ أَنْ يَتَمَتَّعَ مِنْهَا يَوْماً أَوْ أَكْثَرَ فَقَالَ إِذَا كَانَتْ مَشْهُورَةً بِالزِّنَا فَلا يَتَمَتَّعْ مِنْهَا وَلا يَنْكِحْهَا.

6. Ali ibn Ibrahim has narrated from Muhammad ibn ‘Isa from Yunus from Muhammad ibn af-Fudayl who has said the following: “I once asked abu al-Hassan , about the case of a woman who was beautiful but was involved in indecent acts if it was permissible to form al-Mut‘ah (advantageous marriage) with her for a day or more. He (the Imam) said, ’If she is known as a fornicator then al-Mut‘ah (advantageous marriage) is not proper with her as well as marriage.’”
