2- عِدَّةٌ مِنْ أَصْحَابِنَا عَنْ سَهْلِ بْنِ زِيَادٍ عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ أَبِي نَصْرٍ عَنْ أَبِي الْحَسَنِ الرِّضَا قَالَ قَالَ أَبُو جَعْفَرٍ عِدَّةُ الْمُتْعَةِ خَمْسَةٌ وَأَرْبَعُونَ يَوْماً وَالاحْتِيَاطُ خَمْسٌ وَأَرْبَعُونَ لَيْلَةً.

2. A number of our people have narrated from Sahl ibn Ziyad from Ahmad ibn Muhammad from ibn abu Nasr who has said the following: “Abu al-Hassan al-Rida’ has said that abu Ja‘far , has said, ‘Waiting period for al- Mut‘ah (advantageous marriage) is forty five days and because of precaution it is forty five nights.’”
