3- مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنِ ابْنِ فَضَّالٍ عَنِ ابْنِ بُكَيْرٍ عَنْ زُرَارَةَ قَالَ عِدَّةُ الْمُتْعَةِ خَمْسَةٌ وَأَرْبَعُونَ يَوْماً كَأَنِّي أَنْظُرُ إِلَى أَبِي جَعْفَرٍ يَعْقِدُ بِيَدِهِ خَمْسَةً وَأَرْبَعِينَ فَإِذَا جَازَ الأجَلُ كَانَتْ فُرْقَةٌ بِغَيْرِ طَلاقٍ.

3. Muhammad ibn Yahya has narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad from ibn Faddal from ibn Bukayr from Zurarah who has said the following: “He (the Imam) , has said, ‘Waiting period of al-Mut‘ah (advantageous marriage) is forty five days. It is as if I see my father count it on his fingers as forty-five and when this time passes separation between them takes place without divorce.’”
