2- عِدَّةٌ مِنْ أَصْحَابِنَا عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنْ عُثْمَانَ بْنِ عِيسَى عَنْ سَمَاعَةَ قَالَ سَأَلْتُ أَبَا عَبْدِ اللهِ عَنِ الرَّجُلِ يَنْزِلُ عَلَى الرَّجُلِ وَلَهُ عَلَيْهِ دَيْنٌ أَيَأْكُلُ مِنْ طَعَامِهِ قَالَ نَعَمْ يَأْكُلُ مِنْ طَعَامِهِ ثَلاثَةَ أَيَّامٍ ثُمَّ لا يَأْكُلُ بَعْدَ ذَلِكَ شَيْئاً.

2. A number of our people have narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad from ‘Uthman ibn ‘Isa from Sama‘ah who has said the following: “This is concerning my question before abu ‘Abd Allah , about the case of a man who lodges with his debtor; if he can use his food. He (the Imam) said, ‘Yes, he can do so for three days but not for more than three days.”’
