Chapter 28 | Chapter 28 - The Case of Gift to a Creditor

1- مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ يَحْيَى عَنْ غِيَاثِ بْنِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللهِ قَالَ إِنَّ رَجُلا أَتَى عَلِيّاً فَقَالَ لَهُ إِنَّ لِي عَلَى رَجُلٍ دَيْناً فَأَهْدَى إِلَيَّ هَدِيَّةً قَالَ احْسُبْهُ مِنْ دَيْنِكَ عَلَيْهِ.

1. Muhammad ibn Yahya has narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad from Muhammad who has said the following: “Abu ‘ Abd Allah , has said that once a man came to Ali , and said, ‘Someone who owes to me a certain amount of debts has sent me a gift.’ He (the Imam) Alayhi al- Salam, said, ‘Count it as part of payment for what he owes you.’”
