The Sufficient (Vol 5) · Hadith 515 (#Ḥadīth #1)

1- عَلِيُّ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ حَمَّادٍ عَنْ حَرِيزٍ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللهِ قَالَ إِذَا اشْتَرَيْتَ شَيْئاً مِنْ مَتَاعٍ أَوْ غَيْرِهِ فَكَبِّرْ ثُمَّ قُلِ اللهُمَّ إِنِّي اشْتَرَيْتُهُ أَلْتَمِسُ فِيهِ مِنْ فَضْلِكَ فَصَلِّ عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ وَآلِ مُحَمَّدٍ اللهُمَّ فَاجْعَلْ لِي فِيهِ فَضْلا اللهُمَّ إِنِّي اشْتَرَيْتُهُ أَلْتَمِسُ فِيهِ مِنْ رِزْقِكَ [اللهُمَّ] فَاجْعَلْ لِي فِيهِ رِزْقاً ثُمَّ أَعِدْ كُلَّ وَاحِدَةٍ ثَلاثَ مَرَّاتٍ.

1. Ali ibn Ibrahim has narrated from his father from Hammad ibn Hariz who has said the following: “Abu ‘ Abd Allah , has said, ‘When you buy merchandise or something say Takbir (Allah is great beyond description). Then say, ‘O Allah, I have purchased this and I seek in it your extra favor, O Allah, grant compensation to Muhammad and his family worthy of their services to Your cause. O Allah, place in it of your extra favors. O Allah, I have purchased it and seek in it sustenance from You. O Allah, place sustenance in it.’ Thereafter repeat each of the above three times.”’
