Chapter 89 | Merchandise Sold on Credit Is Purchased Back for Cash at a Lower Price Called (‘ Aynah )

7. Ali ibn Ibrahim has narrated from his father from ‘Abd Allah ibn al-Mughirah from ‘Abd Allah ibn Sinan who has said the following: “This is concerning my question before abu ‘Abd Allah , about the case of a man who owes a certain amount of debts and he is a Mu‘sir (unable to pay). Can I arrange for him to buy something from a man for an appointed time and guarantee in his favor so he can pay his debts (with the item just purchased for him) to me and then pay back what he owes? He (the Imam) said, ‘It is lawful.’”
