The Sufficient (Vol 5) · Hadith 847 (#Ḥadīth #1)

1- عِدَّةٌ مِنْ أَصْحَابِنَا عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللهِ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ وَهْبٍ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللهِ قَالَ كَانَ أَمِيرُ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ ﷺ يَقُولُ لا يَجُوزُ الْعَرَبُونُ إِلا أَنْ يَكُونَ نَقْداً مِنَ الثَّمَنِ.

1. A number of our people have narrated from Ahmad ibn abu ‘Abd Allah from his father from Wahab who has said the following: “Abu ‘Abd Allah , has said that ’Amir al-Mu’minin would say, ‘Deposit or down payment is not permissible unless it is the cash portion of the price of the goods purchased.’”
