Chapter 16 | ‘Aqiqah is not Obligatory on One who Cannot Find
عَلِيُّ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنْ صَالِحِ بْنِ أَبِي حَمَّادٍ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ أَبِي حَمْزَةَ عَنْ صَفْوَانَ عَنْ إِسْحَاقَ بْنِ عَمَّارٍ قَالَ سَأَلْتُ أَبَا الْحَسَنِ ( عليه السلام ) عَنِ الْعَقِيقَةِ عَلَى الْمُوسِرِ وَ الْمُعْسِرِ فَقَالَ لَيْسَ عَلَى مَنْ لَا يَجِدُ شَيْءٌ .
1. Ali ibn Muhammad has narrated from Salih ibn abu Hammad from Muhammad ibn abu Hamzah from Safwan from Ishaq ibn ‘Ammar who has said the following: “I once asked abu al-Hassan , about ‘Aqiqah for one who is affluent and one who is poor. He (the Imam) said, ’It is not necessary for one who cannot find anything.’”
