Chapter 16 | ‘Aqiqah is not Obligatory on One who Cannot Find

عَلِيُّ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ إِسْمَاعِيلَ بْنِ مَرَّارٍ عَنْ يُونُسَ عَنْ إِسْحَاقَ بْنِ عَمَّارٍ عَنْ أَبِي إِبْرَاهِيمَ ( عليه السلام ) قَالَ سَأَلْتُهُ عَنِ الْعَقِيقَةِ عَلَى الْمُعْسِرِ وَ الْمُوسِرِ فَقَالَ لَيْسَ عَلَى مَنْ لَا يَجِدُ شَيْءٌ .

2. Ali ibn Ibrahim has narrated from his father from ’Isma‘il ibn Marrar from Yunus from Ishaq ibn ‘Ammar who has said the following: “I once asked abu Ibrahim , about ‘Aqiqah for one who is affluent and one who is poor. He (the Imam) said, ‘It is not necessary for one who cannot find anything.’”
