The Sufficient (Vol 6) · Hadith 1188 (#Ḥadīth #2)

وَ عَنْهُ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عِيسَى عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ مَهْزِيَارَ قَالَ إِنَّ جَارِيَةً لَنَا أَصَابَهَا الْحَيْضُ وَ كَانَ لَا يَنْقَطِعُ عَنْهَا حَتَّى أَشْرَفَتْ عَلَى الْمَوْتِ فَأَمَرَ أَبُو جَعْفَرٍ ( عليه السلام ) أَنْ تُسْقَى سَوِيقَ الْعَدَسِ فَسُقِيَتْ فَانْقَطَعَ عَنْهَا وَ عُوفِيَتْ .

2. It is narrated from the narrator of the previous Hadith from Muhammad ibn ‘Isa from Ali ibn Mahziyar from who has said the following: “We had a girl whose Hayd (menses) would not stop and she was about to die. Abu Ja’far , instructed to make her drink sawiq of lintels. She used the drink, the bleeding stopped and she was cured.’”
