Chapter 61 | The Meat of Deer and Wild Donkeys
عِدَّةٌ مِنْ أَصْحَابِنَا عَنْ سَهْلِ بْنِ زِيَادٍ عَنْ نَصْرِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ قَالَ كَتَبْتُ إِلَى أَبِي الْحَسَنِ ( عليه السلام ) أَسْأَلُهُ عَنْ لُحُومِ حُمُرِ الْوَحْشِ فَكَتَبَ ( عليه السلام ) يَجُوزُ أَكْلُهُ لِوَحْشَتِهِ وَ تَرْكُهُ عِنْدِي أَفْضَلُ .
1. A number of our people have narrated from Sahl ibn Ziyad from Nasr ibn Muhammad who has said the following: “I once wrote to abu al-Hassan , and asked about the meat of the wild donkeys. He (the Imam) wrote the answer that said, ‘It is not unlawful because of its being wild but not to eat is better to me.”’
