Chapter 64 | About Qadid (Dried Meat)

عَنْهُ رَفَعَهُ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ( عليه السلام ) قَالَ قُلْتُ لَهُ إِنَّ اللَّحْمَ يُقَدَّدُ وَ يُذَرُّ عَلَيْهِ الْمِلْحُ وَ يُجَفَّفُ فِي الظِّلِّ فَقَالَ لَا بَأْسَ بِأَكْلِهِ لِأَنَّ الْمِلْحَ قَدْ غَيَّرَهُ .

2. It is narrated from the narrator of the previous Hadith in a marfu‘ manner who has said the following: “I once asked abu ‘Abd Allah , if meat can be dried up by salting and leaving in the shade. He (the Imam) said, ‘It is not unlawful to eat it because salt has changed it.’”
