The Sufficient (Vol 6) · Hadith 1406 (#Ḥadīth #7)

عَلِيُّ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ إِسْمَاعِيلَ بْنِ مَرَّارٍ عَنْ يُونُسَ عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ الْحَكَمِ عَنْ زُرَارَةَ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ( عليه السلام ) قَالَ التَّمْرُ الْبَرْنِيُّ يُشْبِعُ وَ يَهْنَأُ وَ يَمْرَأُ وَ هُوَ الدَّوَاءُ وَ لَا دَاءَ لَهُ يَذْهَبُ بِالْعَيَاءِ وَ مَعَ كُلِّ تَمْرَةٍ حَسَنَةٌ .

7. Ali ibn Ibrahim has narrated from his father from ’Isma‘il ibn Marrar from Yunus from Hisham ibn al-Hakam from Zurarah who has said the following: “Abu ‘ Abd Allah , has said, ‘ Al-Barniy dates give one delight, and palatability. It is a medicine without illness. It takes away fatigue and with every date there is one good deed.’”
