The Sufficient (Vol 6) · Hadith 1411 (#Ḥadīth #12)

مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنْ مُعَمَّرِ بْنِ خَلَّادٍ عَنْ أَبِي الْحَسَنِ الرِّضَا ( عليه السلام ) قَالَ كَانَتْ نَخْلَةُ مَرْيَمَ ( عليها السلام ) الْعَجْوَةَ وَ نَزَلَتْ فِي كَانُونَ وَ نَزَلَ مَعَ آدَمَ ( عليه السلام ) الْعَتِيقُ وَ الْعَجْوَةُ وَ مِنْهَا تَفَرَّقَ أَنْوَاعُ النَّخْلِ .

12. Muhammad ibn Yahya has narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad from Mu’ammar ibn Khallad who has said the following: “Abu al-Hassan, al-Rida’ , has said, ‘The palm tree of Mary was al-‘Ajwah which was sent in the month of Kanun (one of the months of winter). With Adam al-‘Atiq and al- ‘Ajwah were sent, from these other kinds of palm trees spread.’”
