The Sufficient (Vol 6) · Hadith 1445 (#Ḥadīth #12)

عَلِيُّ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ بُنْدَارَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَلِيٍّ الْهَمَذَانِيِّ عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الرَّقَّامِ عَنْ صَالِحِ بْنِ عُقْبَةَ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ أَبَا عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ( عليه السلام ) يَقُولُ كُلُوا الرُّمَّانَ بِشَحْمِهِ فَإِنَّهُ يَدْبُغُ الْمَعِدَةَ وَ يَزِيدُ فِي الذِّهْنِ .

12. Ali ibn Muhammad ibn Bandar has narrated from his father from Muhammad ibn Ali al-Hamadaniy from Sa‘id al-Raqqam from Salih ibn ‘Uqbah who has said the following: “I once heard abu ‘Abd Allah , saying, ‘Eat pomegranate with its flesh; it tans (cleans) the stomach and increases the brain’s ability.’”
