The Sufficient (Vol 6) · Hadith 1525 (#Ḥadīth #1)

عِدَّةٌ مِنْ أَصْحَابِنَا عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ عَنِ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ عَلِيٍّ عَنْ أَبِي عُثْمَانَ رَفَعَهُ إِلَى أَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ( عليه السلام ) قَالَ إِنَّ اللَّهَ عَزَّ وَ جَلَّ رَفَعَ عَنِ الْيَهُودِ الْجُذَامَ بِأَكْلِهِمُ السِّلْقَ وَ قَلْعِهِمُ الْعُرُوقَ .

1. A number of our people have narrated from Ahmad ibn abu ‘ Abd Allah from al-Hassan ibn Ali from abu ‘Uthman in a marfu ‘ manner who has said the following: “Abu ‘Abd Allah , has said, ‘Allah, most Majestic, most Glorious, removed leprosy from Jews because of their eating beets and their cutting the veins.’”
