The Sufficient (Vol 6) · Hadith 1541 (#Ḥadīth #1)

مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنِ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ عَلِيٍّ أَوْ غَيْرِهِ عَنْ دَاوُدَ بْنِ فَرْقَدٍ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ( عليه السلام ) قَالَ أَكْلُ الْجَزَرِ يُسَخِّنُ الْكُلْيَتَيْنِ وَ يُقِيمُ الذَّكَرَ .

1. Muhammad ibn Yahya has narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad from al-Hassan ibn Ali and others from Dawud ibn Farqad who has said the following: “Abu ’Abd Allah , has said, ’Eating carrot warms up the kidneys and causes erection.”’
