Chapter 126 | The Turnip

مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ جَعْفَرٍ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عِيسَى عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ الْمُسَيَّبِ قَالَ قَالَ الْعَبْدُ الصَّالِحُ ( عليه السلام ) عَلَيْكَ بِاللِّفْتِ فَكُلْهُ يَعْنِي السَّلْجَمَ فَإِنَّهُ لَيْسَ مِنْ أَحَدٍ إِلَّا وَ لَهُ عِرْقٌ مِنَ الْجُذَامِ وَ اللِّفْتُ يُذِيبُهُ .

1. Muhammad ibn Yahya has narrated from ‘Abd Allah ibn Ja‘far from Muhammad ibn ‘Isa from Ali ibn Musayyib who has said the following: “The virtuous servant (of Allah) has said, ‘You must eat al-Luft, that is, turnips; everyone has a vein of leprosy and al-Luft dissolves it.’”
