Chapter 129 | The Onions
عَلِيُّ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ بُنْدَارَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَلِيٍّ الْهَمَذَانِيِّ عَنِ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ عَلِيٍّ الْكَسْلَانِ عَنْ مُيَسِّرٍ بَيَّاعِ الزُّطِّيِّ وَ كَانَ خَالَهُ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ أَبَا عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ( عليه السلام ) يَقُولُ كُلُوا الْبَصَلَ فَإِنَّ فِيهِ ثَلَاثَ خِصَالٍ يُطَيِّبُ النَّكْهَةَ وَ يَشُدُّ اللِّثَةَ وَ يَزِيدُ فِي الْمَاءِ وَ الْجِمَاعِ .

Ali ibn Muhammad ibn Bandar from his father from Muhammad ibn Ah al-Hamadaniy from al-Hassan ibn Ah al-Kaslan from Muyassir Bayya’ al-Zuttiy who was his maternal uncle has said the following: “I once heard abu ‘Abd Allah , saying, ‘You must eat onion; it has three qualities; it is well flavored, brings firmness to one’s gums, increases one’s seeds and the ability to go to bed with one’s wife.’”
